Our Lunches

We believe mealtime is a shared experience that builds community. Our school offers a homemade, vegetarian, and organic catered lunch program, with students also participating in cooking classes and cultural food traditions each month.

We partner with Chef Hill, owner of Speakcheesy, to create seasonal, farm-to-table menus that highlight fresh vegetables, whole grains, and plant-based proteins. Cooking is woven into our curriculum, with students helping prepare meals, tending to gardens, and using our molino to grind corn and wheat. To accommodate children with allergies, we are a nut-free school.

Once a month, Chef Hill leads cooking classes with the children to celebrate the various traditions and cultures represented in our school community.

Meet Chef Hill

Trained by top culinary talent in Georgia, Chef Hill has worked as a lead baker, pasta maker, and charcuterie and cheese specialist. She co-owns and operates Speakcheesy, a beloved food truck business that recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Chef Hill creates vibrant, seasonal menus that introduce children to a variety of fresh ingredients. Her meals are designed to be both nutritious and engaging, encouraging students to explore new flavors, textures, and culinary traditions.
